DESCRIPTION:Join us for this sponsored walk Saturday 10th May 12 noon until 5.00pm\nEnd poverty step by step.\nThe new walk route for 2025 is approximately 5K.\nFun for all the family. \nSTART:\n12pm from St Martin-in-the-Fields accessed from Charing Cross Station\n(Tube: Northern and Bakerloo lines) \nENDS:\nat St Paul’s Cathedral for Evensong. \nWhy is this walk taking place?\nThe London Freedom Walk is a curtain raiser to Christian Aid Week 2025 when supporters focus on the challenges poverty\, injustice and climate change.\nWhat is Christian Aid Week all about this year?\nThis year the Christian Aid Week appeal is focusing on the work of the organisation’s partners in Guatemala.\nGuatemala is among the ten countries in the world most vulnerable to disasters and climate emergencies.\nOver the past three years\, extended dry seasons have severely damaged the livelihoods of subsistence farmers\, who rely upon rain for their crops.\nMillions of people are suffering from a crisis they have done the least to contribute to\, they need our help and support.
